With a superstar mentality and the stats to back it up, Class of 2033 running back Dayzon Evans is an unstoppable force for the Detroit City Lions.

In the heart of Detroit, a city known for its grit and toughness, a new generation of football talent is emerging. Leading the charge is Dayzon Evans, a dynamic playmaker for the Detroit City Lions 11U. When you ask him to describe his game, he doesn’t hesitate.

“A superstar player,” Evans states with confidence. “Because I’m a weapon in all ways when the ball in my hand and the fastest kid on the field.”

That superstar mentality was put to the test this past season. When his team lost one of its best players, they needed someone to fill the void. Evans embraced the challenge completely. "I took it upon myself to step up and put the team on my back," he recalls. The result was a dominant season where he amassed over 1,000 total yards and 15 touchdowns. That performance solidified his belief in himself. "After my first touchdown," he says, "I knew I was unstoppable."

This fifth-grader’s journey began with the Oldtown Ducks 8U, inspired to play by his older brother, King. That initial spark has grown into a blazing fire, fueled by a relentless work ethic. To complement his natural talent, Evans runs track in the offseason and sharpens his skills with dedicated running back training. His workout secret? "I stay sharp by listening to music while I’m working out so I can stay hype."

His impressive resume already includes All-American honors, MVP awards, a national ranking, and a top performance at the RNR combine. But for Evans, the accolades are just mile markers on a much longer road. "My approach is that I have what it takes to go to the NFL so I put the work in daily to make that dream a reality," he explains. He models his explosive game after NFL stars Jahmyr Gibbs and Saquon Barkley and hopes to one day meet Detroit’s own running back legend, Barry Sanders.

With a powerful support system that includes his mom, dad, and Coach Jet, Evans has the foundation to chase his lofty goals. His focus is entirely internal. When asked about local rivals, his answer is simple and telling: "Nobody. I’m my only competition."

As he looks toward the future, Dayzon Evans has a clear message for the football world. "I been working hard and gonna keep working harder, nobody can stop me and everybody will know my name and game, especially after this year," he declares. "I’m going D1 and to the league I promise.”
